In alignment with this commitment, the owners of Ecolirios Lodge, drawing upon their professional expertise as architects, have established a boutique lodge that emphasizes the judicious use of resources and space, along with the integration of clean energy. This approach ensures that each guest’s experience is genuinely sustainable.

Given the prevailing climatic conditions in the Guacimo region, characterized by consistently sunny days, the hotel has implemented a sustainable and ecological energy system to supply power to each room without reliance on fossil fuels. Each room is equipped with solar panels that harness energy from sunlight, promoting sustainability. The hotel aspires to serve as a model of inspiration for adopting such practices and aims to contribute to their broader implementation.

Water resource management plays a crucial role in Ecolirios's operations. Situated within one of the country's most significant water corridors, the hotel benefits from a favorable climate of regular rainfall. This consistent precipitation supports the lush tropical forests in the area, which are the source of numerous natural springs, contributing to the region's rich biodiversity and water supply.

A noteworthy aspect of our establishment is our strong connection with the land and our commitment to organic production methods for the products used in our restaurant and cooking class experiences. Some of the ingredients used in our kitchen are sourced from our local garden, while the remainder are procured from regional producers. Additionally, children and adults can explore our farm to gain insights into the production of Creole hen eggs and learn more about the various animals that inhabit our property.

Also, it is essential to let you know that over half of the land associated with our hotel remains in its natural state and is protected. We recognize that our most significant asset is conserving the tropical forests in the northern region adjacent to the Turrialba volcano and the rich biodiversity that thrives within these lands.
